Golf Art Concepts
Cazenave’s latest series of work ‘Golf Art Concepts', based on the notion of playfulness, started out as a way to adorn his own golf balls – he’s an avid golf player in his spare time.
Each golf ball is hand-drawn, displaying a (crawling) insect or amphibians and reptiles.

Every piece of art is presented to the viewer in a similar yet different way: each golf ball sits in a transparent little cube. The little cubes together are in turn displayed in a larger transparent cube as part of an installation, including a play of light and sounds.
Others are exhibited as part of a sizable photographic background. Both types of representation require an active relationship of the observer to the work: he’s invited to participate in the (re-)creation of each art piece.
